Global Hotel Alliance Discovery has faced a significant challenge with its existing GHA DBCS infrastructure. They struggled to keep up with high demand, impacting performance and resource availability. To address this, GHA embarked on a transformative journey to upgrade its infrastructure and database to Oracle 19c on Oracle Exadata Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This project was led by the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure team and executed by Information Dynamic, an Oracle partner, in collaboration with GHA’s IT team.
GHA’s existing infrastructure was under immense pressure from increased loads, hindering its performance and resource management. The migration and upgrade to Oracle Exadata Cloud Infrastructure must be planned and executed to ensure a seamless transition without downtime and data integrity issues.
With expert guidance from the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure team, the Information Dynamic team, and GHA’s IT team, a comprehensive plan was developed to migrate the GHA DBCS infrastructure and upgrade the database to Oracle 19c on OCI. This solution promised enhanced performance, scalability, and improved resource management.
